The Specialist Health Visiting Team provides an inclusive
service to families who are deemed vulnerable and isolated and may
not be able to gain access to main stream Health Visiting
services.
A culturally sensitive service is provided to address the specific
needs of Gypsy and Travelling families living both in settled
communities and mobile groups.
Homeless families are in crisis for a variety of reasons, most
commonly domestic abuse and family break down.The team provides an
intensive service to meet the health needs of those families who
are living in temporary accommodation such as hostels and bed and
breakfast hotels.
How to access this service
Referrals are normally taken through midwifery services or via
other partner agencies.
Self referrals are also taken.
