We have had several cases of diarrhoea and vomiting in a number
of wards across the Trust. In an effort to prevent the spread of
infection, and given that we know Norovirus is circulating in the
community, we have placed visitor restrictions on any wards
affected.
Previously, our stroke and cardiology wards had patients showing
symptoms, but these are now fully operational and open to new
admissions once again. More recently D20 has been affected and
visitor restrictions remain in place at the moment.
No-one has been seriously unwell as a result of this
infection.
Thank you for your co-operation during this time. We will
continue to keep you updated on this issue.
